Who: Owners, Edmondo & Santi Blando.
Edmondo is our artistic director and stylist, and Santi runs the business show behind the scenes. The husband-wife duo met while working together in 2001. Vanity became their vision and reality in 2005 when they decided to open and create the brand and culture known as Vanity today. They were looking to create a positive, ideal environment for their employees to thrive and for their clients to dream up their best hair-visions.
When: Salon Vanity originated in 2005 sporting a chic, contemporary vibe, with a laid-back atmosphere. Our stylists have been a part of Vanity for many years and are family. The Blando’s believe that a person should only compete with themselves to be better than the person they were yesterday. Everyone is different and unique, and the Blando’s embody this with their employees and clients. By focusing on plenty of mentoring, organization and positivity, Salon Vanity has gotten to where it is today.
Why: Originally starting with only two stylists, today Vanity has a total of 14 stylists! Ed and the VanFam have gained a large following by being approachable with empowerment to bring out the best and sexiest version of a person. Salon Vanity continues to offer all of the tools and products needed to create the best client experience possible paired with a caring, driven team who strive to make the client confident and happy.
How: At Vanity, it is believed that one can never learn too much — we pride ourselves on having the most talented stylists because of their continued hair-education. Edmondo has an intensive apprentice program for the new assistants, as well as mentoring and hands-on training for each stylist. Additionally, our team stays up to date with all the latest and greatest hair techniques. Edmondo believes there is a true power in mentoring, and one will see that as they enter this modernized, chill salon with its open floor plan with our extremely talented stylists.
